Don’t you love the question, ‘what do you do’?

I get asked that 20 times a week as I meet new people and there are so many answers because I don’t like answering in titles. Do you say that you are a plumber, a photographer, a speaker? It’s so easy to answer with a title, but what I know for sure is that is not what you do. As I have served business owners for 12 years I have learned that people often take the easy way out. But that isn’t good training for a greatness leader.  But I challenge you to stand in your greatness and REALLY share what you do – share the inspiration, transformation and service you provide through your product or serve in a way that people lean in and say ‘wow’.

How can you create a landing statement (that’s my term for the ‘elevator speech’) that really speaks to who you serve and the true solution of your product/service?  When you create this you will see that you ‘land’ many more clients/customers because they actually get what you do and the solution you are, but more importantly you stand in your greatness while you share about your business and you don’t shriek at the thought of answering that question!
